Hail to the Outgoing Chief.
May 2nd will mark the end of an era at The Society of Vacuum Coaters. After two years as President of SVC, our VP of Sales, Ed Wegener, will be handing over the reins to new leadership.
As president of The Society of Vacuum Coaters from 2020 to 2022, Ed lead the non-profit industry group through a challenging period. Ed helped make the tough but necessary decision to postpone the 2020 SVC TechCon in Nashville due to the pandemic. He helped lead the charge on the very first virtual SVC TechCon in 2021 and he saw the future and helped make sure the 2022 SVC show would go on in Long Beach.

Ed may be stepping down as SVC President, but he’ll be stepping up to the microphone at the SVC TechCon Vendor Innovator Showcase on Wednesday May 4th at 10:40 pm. He’ll be there to talk about DHF Technical Products and our deep knowledge of gold, silver, platinum and palladium sputtering targets including how we can help lower the cost of sputtering target ownership with innovative designs and our industry leading precious metal target recycling programs.
Ed has seen and done it all in the vacuum coating industry and we’re glad he continues to do even more for us and the industry. The SVC was lucky to have him and so are the customers and employees of DHF Technical Products.

Stop by Ed’s presentation at the Vendor Innovator Showcase and then come by our booth at the entrance to SVC Long Beach and thank Ed for his service. If you’re in the market for gold, silver, platinum or palladium sputtering targets, Ed is a guy you definitely want to talk to.
